The Wine Tasting Shop, Balham

Welcome to the Wine Tasting shop

It does exactly what it says in it's name. Simply put, walk into the shop and explore the broad, eclectic choice of fine and little-known wines, taste if you will, and buy if you can't resist.

The shop, launched by Julia Michael, reflects her individual interest in wines created with as little intervention as possible in both the Vineyard and Winery; some from lesser-known regions and all delivering value for money within their price range.

oneTry: The in-house preservations system allows you to try a measure on a rotating selection of wines within the shop. The card system offers up to 10 wines to be sampled on a £5 or £10 voucher, or you can simply pay from 50p for a particular wine you would like to try (a choice of 20 still wines and 6 sparkling wines at any time).

twoBuy: Bottles or cases from around the world, sourced from innovative and dynamic wine producers.

threeWine Tastings: From an introduction to wine tasting to more specialised and seasonal tastings. You will find regular updates on our events columns, including regular visits and talks by the wine-makers.

Get out your diary and reserve 30 minutes for a rare opportunity to try some of Italy's finest Grappa!
Il Montu produces a staggering 11 mono-varietal Grappas as well as blended, aged and flavoured varieties using low yield and time consuming 'Bain-Marie' method. Less than 3% of Grappa is made this way and even less is made with grapes from the producer's own vineyard. Fabio, the winemaker is a second generation 'Master of Grappa'.

    Great News!

We have finally finished our renovations. We are now serving wines by the glass to be enjoyed in-store
    with artisan cheese & charcuterie.
You can also pick any bottle of wine off the shelf to drink on the premises for a standard £9.00 corkage.

We had a brilliant time choosing our cheeses, and have a great line up of French and British Cheese, accompanied with fresh speciality breads & fig relish.
