About us

Our story

We are a buzzing and bubbly bottle shop and wine bar in the heart of Balham, South West London. An independent wine destination, we specialise in top quality wines from artisanal and boutique producers around the world, and aim to deliver excellent value for money.

We have a passion for top quality small production wines from regions, appellations, terroirs and little-known clos or parcels from around the world. We also have strong community ties, from our super friendly regulars, to collaborations with nearby restaurants and venues!

Wines by the Glass

We regularly update our seasonal menu with new wines available by the glass, from classic bubbles to funky naturals. Our weekly Wine Tasting Carousel also offers new wines to try on a more regular basis but once it’s gone, it’s gone! And, with each new seasonal menu we also offer a new themed wine tasting flight of three wines to spotlight a particular style, varietal or region.

Not enough choice for you? Well we also have 300 more wines to enjoy by the bottle, either at home or in the bar.

Our friendly and well-informed staff are always on hand to find the perfect wine match for your special dinner party, or just your midweek mood. And all this grape goodness is matched by a fantastic selection of cheese and charcuterie, with vegan options as well! All this can be enjoyed in our bar or on our terrace.

Wine tastings

We hold weekly tastings downstairs in our cool and classy cellar, tasting across regions, countries and even vintages. You could get started with our Wine Tasting Basics, or if for you wine needs no introduction you could join our specialist or premium tastings. All these tastings come with expertly matched morsels from our wine bar. You’ll find our calendar of tastings on our Events page. We can also create bespoke private or corporate wine tastings either in our cellar or the venue of your choice.

Live music Fridays

If live music is your scene, join us on Friday evenings. We have live music every week. Our resident musicologist ensures a wide variety of acts and genres to help you relax after a long week or to get you tapping your toes and clapping your hands to energetic beats.

Natural, organic & biodynamic wines

We have (of course) tasted all the wines on our shelves and our wine advisors are on hand to help you find the perfect wine for every occasion. We offer quality and value from independent and innovative wine makers – we live to share their stories and bring them to life through their meticulously elaborated and, often times natural, organic or biodynamic products.
