Varietals: Roussanne 100%

Roussanne, like Viognier, is notoriously difficult to grow and it’s a testament to Yves’ skill (and patience) that he is consistently able to get the best from these varietals. The characteristic camomile note is here alongside baked apple, brioche and spice, with a glossy texture and gentle acidity. As a white wine that has undergone malolactic fermentation but no oak ageing it’s a rare beast, with buttery notes but no oakiness, and if you’re a fan of richer styles of white this is definitely worth a shot.
